Welcome

On behalf of Archbishop Flynn, and members of the Commission on Biomedical Ethics, I want to take this opportunity to welcome you to our website.

It seems that we read about new advances in medical technology on a daily basis, but rarely do we read of the questions and ethical implications that these technologies raise.  As Christians, we laud efforts to save human life, but we also recognize that as creatures, we must respect the God who has created us as well.

It is our hope that this site will provide valuable information to foster intellectual growth in this area, while at the same time providing valuable counsel for those facing difficult questions in the area of medical ethics.

In Christ,

Fr. Peter Laird

Director

Commission on Biomedical Ethics
