Advocacy and Victim Assistance

If you or someone you know has been sexually exploited, abused, or harassed by a priest, deacon, religious or lay church person, and you need help or want to talk about your feelings of betrayal or hurt, we are here for you.

Ministry-related sexual misconduct refers to three related forms of misconduct:

  • Sexual Exploitation – Contact between a church leader and a person who is receiving pastoral care from the church leader.
  • Sexual Abuse – Sexual conduct between a church leader and a minor or vulnerable adult.
  • Sexual Harassment – Unwanted sexual conduct or language between co-workers in the church work setting.

We will also help you bring your complaint or concerns to church officials outside of this Archdiocese when the exploitation, abuse, or harassment occurred in another diocese and you now reside in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis.

If you or someone you know has been the victim of ministry-related sexual misconduct, please contact us.
