Persons with disAbilities
The Archdiocesan Outreach to Persons with disAbilities ministry is part of the Office for Marriage, Family and Life.
The mission of the Outreach to Persons with disAbilities is to facilitate the implementation of the Pastoral Statement of U.S. Catholic Bishops on People with disAbilities which calls for “realizing the unique gifts that individuals with disAbilities have to offer the church” and society, and to advocate for the inclusion of persons with disAbilities in full participation of liturgical, sacramental and parish life.
The mission of this office is to advocate for people with disAbilities, which is centered in Christ's love. Note that the cross, heart, and person are intertwined. As the people of God, we ALL have gifts to share. The circle outside signifies the mutual sharing of our gifts; giving and receiving from one another. We call this Inclusion.
