Commission on Ecumenism and Interreligious Affairs

The Church exists as a sacrament, a sign and instrument of communion with God and the unity of the human race (Lumen Gentium, 1). The Commission on Ecumenism and Interreligious Affairs carries forth this vision of Vatican II and the mandates that follow in two ways. First, we are committed to reaching out to other Christians in prayer, dialogue, and service in order to foster Christian unity. Second, we seek to engage other peoples of faith in order to promote understanding, respect, and cooperation.
