The following is a listing of the initiatives in the Archdiocese. In addition to these we recommend activities for individuals and parishes, particularly to increase Christian unity:
Jay Phillips Center for Jewish-Christian Learning
The Jay Phillips center is a joint project of the University of St. Thomas and St. John's University providing programs and lectures intended to enhance the understanding the mutual cooperation between Jews and Christians. The center Personnel, Rabbi Barry Cytron, Dr. John Merkle, and Karen Shierman, staff and administer the various center projects on both campuses. In addition to a full schedule of classes at both universities, the center hosts week-long interfaith study workshops and brings scholars-in-residence to Christian and Jewish organizations, congregations, colleges, and seminaries across the Twin Cities as well as out-state Minnesota and Iowa.
