To direct and participate in the parish’s Pastoral Care ministries by providing: guidance and support to those seeking to grow spiritually, emotionally, and relationally; and comfort and counsel to those experiencing crisis, challenge, transition, or change in their lives; to empower parishioners to participate in ministry opportunities directed toward the above areas of service.
Qualifications:
BA, BS or MA either completed or in process in Pastoral Ministry (preferred) or a similar area of study, e.g. Social Work, with pastoral ministry experience.
Formal training and experience in Pastoral Counseling.
Prior experience leading and training those involved with Stephen Ministry or similar programs, e.g. Companion Ministry, Befrienders, etc.
Proven leadership skills.
Ability to work with and empower volunteers.
