The Communications Office oversees communication efforts within the Archdiocese to increase awareness of the many facets of the Catholic Church. It serves as spokesperson for the Archbishop and Archdiocese; prepares public statements for the media; collaborates with other archdiocesan offices and agencies in planning special events; oversees the Archdiocese's home page on the world wide web (http://www.archspm.org); provides information and referrals on Catholic teaching; and provides editorial, public relations and telecommunications assistance to offices and parishes.
