Las Parroquias que sirven a la comunidad Hispana/Latina

En la Arquidiócesis de St. Paul y Minneapolis, hay 18 parroquias que están serviendo a la comunidad Latina. Todos ofrecen la misa en español los domingos, y varios programas para ayudar al feligres católico a encontrarse acogida en una comunidad de fe, a profundizar su fe, y a crecer en su entendimiento de las enseñanzas de Jesús y de la Iglesia.

Cada parroquia ofrece, u ofrecerá en el futuro cercano, las clases para la preparación sacramental (bautismo, primera comunión, confirmación, matrimonio) y programas de formación en la fe para adultos, jóvenes y niños. Algunas tiene un grupo de individuos bien dedicados a los asuntos sociales y están luchando por la justicia para los inmigrantes.

Hispanic Ministry in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis

In 1997, the Hispanic Ministry Leadership Team was formed to minister primarily to and with the Latino/Hispanic community in our Archdiocese. It is made up of fifteen people including priests, sisters and lay persons, men and women, who are working with and accompanying the Latino faithful in our towns and cities.

Our Vision

We, the catholic Hispanic/Latino community will proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ by being full and active participants in the life of the Church and society. In our expression of faith, we will evangelize others by means of our language, culture, prayer and sacrament.

Our Mission

• Create parish communities that educate about and witness to the Gospel message, especially in its practice of justice.

• Promote an atmosphere of participation and multicultural celebration in our liturgy.

• Train leaders for the development of the community in all aspects.

• Be with individuals and families in the most significant moment of their lives.

• Promote and facilitate a shared responsibility between the Archdiocese and local parish in welcoming and serving a multicultural community.

Parishes that are serving the Hispanic/Latino community

In the Archdiocese of St. Paul & Minneapolis, there are 18 parishes serving the Latino community. All of them offer weekly mass in Spanish and a variety of programs to help faithful Catholics to find a sense of belonging in a faith community, to deepen their faith, and to grow in their understanding of Jesus' teachings and those of the Church.

Each parish offers, or will offer in the near future, classes for sacramental preparation (baptism, first communion, confirmation and marriage) and faith formation programs for children, youth and adults. Several parishes have teams that are working for social justice especially in the areas of affordable housing and immigration, and groups that are dedicated to planning and executing social functions.
