Nature of the Organization's Work or Ministry:
Target Audience:
Potential Uses of the Institution: THE MISSION: Saint Paul’s Outreach is to engage college students and young adults in a life of Christian discipleship by presenting the life-changing power of the Gospel and training them to live as followers of Christ within the Catholic Church. Saint Paul’s Outreach’s mission and core values seek to fulfill Pope John Paul II’s call to the “New Evangelization”. This is accomplished by initiating and building personal relationships with college students and young adults, especially through fostering social environments where Christian life is actively supported and expressed. Rooted in and faithful to the life and teaching of the Catholic Church, members strive for holiness through being formed in and living out the truths of Christianity in all areas of their lives Programs: · Households: In their respective Households, men and women commit to a pattern of daily prayer, meals and faith-sharing groups. The Household program is available for the school year as well as for the summer. · Standing in the GAP Program: Year-long mission opportunity for in-depth training, life in community, and nation-wide service. · Formation Program: School-year program that includes faith-sharing small groups, ongoing training in the Faith, prayer gatherings, conferences and retreats. · Campus Outreach Academy: A month-long program for leaders, packed with talks, prayer, workshops, and hands-on experience in preparation for their campus outreach work. · School of the New Evangelization: An intensive summer conference that studies in depth the Holy Father’s call to a New Evangelization. Occurs each semester at local college campuses. · Campus Prayer Gatherings & Courses: Held regularly at local college campuses. · Service Projects & Mission Trips: Yearly Spring Break Mission Trips are offered, as well as various ongoing service projects. · Conferences & Retreats: Annual Summer Conference, New Evangelization Course, and “Fan Into Flame” Life in the Spirit Retreats |
