With public Masses suspended, the faithful face a particularly challenging Holy Week this year. Many in the Church have risen to this challenge, offering local and national retreats, reflections and other online opportunities to help make Holy Week meaningful for you and your family. Here are just a few of these opportunities.
Virtual Holy Week Retreat: From Palm Sunday through Easter Sunday, watch, engage and reflect as Archbishop Hebda, Bishop Cozzens and others offer prayer opportunities and conferences via Facebook live streaming and on our website.
Palm Sunday with the Bishops: Archbishop Hebda celebrated Mass at Ss. Joachim and Anne, Shakopee, live streamed on Facebook at 10 a.m. in English and noon in Spanish. A drive-in Eucharistic procession and car-side benediction took place in between the Masses, at 11 a.m. Bishop Cozzens will celebrated Mass in Spanish at St. Stephen, Minneapolis, live streamed on YouTube at 9 a.m.
Local Parishes: Many parishes have begun live streaming Masses, and others offer Stations of the Cross, the Rosary or other devotions.See our list of live stream Masses and visit parish websites for Holy Week schedules and The Catholic Spirit story for Holy Week details.
