Most Holy Trinity was founded by Czech farmers. They walked eight miles through dense
forest to attend Mass in New Prague until Most Holy Trinity in Veseli was established
on March 1, 1874.
The current church was built in 1905, the cornerstone being laid on the feast of the Holy Trinity.
The first Mass held in the church was Christmas of 1905. The original artwork in the church
interior was painted over in 1951, however a redecorating project in 2006-2007 restored most
of the original artwork.
While the church is very beautiful, the greatest depth of beauty is the people who are parish
family. The people of Most Holy Trinity come together to help whenever any help is needed
such as at the parish festival, the Veseli Ho-Down, an annual tradition since 1967. The parish
family considers the festival a “prayer turned to action”, welcoming hundreds of people from
far away to the small community for a day highlighted with a Polka Mass that brings people to
tears of joy.
In 2024, Most Holy Trinity proudly marked its 150th anniversary.
