Elysian is a small community located in a popular fishing and resort area on the southern edge of Le Sueur County. The first church was built in 1889 and the parish was established in 1894. The current church dates from 1976. Many volunteers donated their labor to build it, including the pastor, Fr. Clarence Zlotkowski, who did all the wiring himself!
