Founded on June 3, 1960, St. Odilia started as “a little green house in a cornfield.” The
school was built first, and the gym was used for worship until the present church was completed
in 1983. Since that time, the parish has seen steady growth in both its buildings and its people. The
campus has experienced ongoing growth and now includes a church, school, rectory, administrative
building, a palliative care facility, a soccer field and a cemetery. The members of the parish have
grown due in part to a weekly Mass in Spanish. The addition of the richness of the Latino community
combined with an active English speaking community and a highly respected and vibrant
school community means there are many ways for many people to find a home at St. Odilia.
