St. Victoria was founded as a parish in 1857 and a small wooden church
was built. As more immigrant pioneers settled in the area, in 1870 a
larger brick church was built which is the historic church that still stands
today. In 2005, a larger worship space was dedicated for the growing
community.
Today, the new church complements the old, preserving the rich heritage
while at the same time creating a spirit of welcome for all gathered to
celebrate the Eucharist and to live the Eucharist. St. Victoria cultivates over
60 volunteer ministries as it reaches out as the face and hands of Jesus
Christ.
By proclaiming a God of sweet love, offering radical hospitality,
and engaging in bold acts of charity and justice, St. Victoria proudly
honor the commitment of their founders from 168 years ago.
