The Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, referred to as the Archdiocesan Catholic Center (ACC), has been named a Minnesota Top Workplace for the second year in a row. A complete list was published in the Star Tribune Top Workplaces special section on June 14.
The results of the Star Tribune Top Workplaces are based on survey information collected by Energage, an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention. This year, the ACC was also recognized for two Energage Culture & Excellence awards for Purpose & Values and the Nonprofit Industry.
In a message to ACC employees, Archbishop Bernard Hebda said, “This recognition reflects on each of our employees – who bring their talents, compassion, and faith to their work in service of the Church every day.”
The Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis is home to hundreds of thousands of Catholics in the 12-county greater Twin Cities metropolitan area. Established as a diocese in 1850 (originally Minnesota and the Dakotas), the Holy See elevated it to an archdiocese in 1888. Now, the Archdiocese’s boundaries are the 12‐county greater Twin Cities metropolitan area. The Archdiocese is home to 186 parishes and 89 Catholic schools.
The purpose of the ACC is to assist the office of the Archbishop in his apostolic ministry and provide support to our ministerial partners, especially parishes and schools, to fulfill their mission.
