On the Rediscover: Hour we hear from Bishop Mariano Parra, the Bishop of Ciudad Guayana in Venezuela. In 2001, Bishop Robert Pates, the Auxiliary Bishop of Saint Paul and Minneapolis at the time, worked with Bishop Mariano to consecrate the new church of
Jesucristo Resucitado Parish. In 2006, the construction was completed of a church and parish center containing a medical clinic, dentist office, medical laboratory, computer center and more! Bishop Mariano talks with us about what the Church is like in the Diocese of Ciudad Guyana as well as the vocations being fostered in this diocese.
