St. Adalbert in St. Paul got its start when Polish Catholics purchased
the frame church of St. Louis from the French Catholic community
and moved it from 10th and Cedar to Charles and Galtier, then renamed it
St. Adalbert. The little frame church was replaced with the present stone
church in 1910. Over the decades, the cultural identity of St. Adalbert
has transformed. As demographics shifted and families departed for the
suburbs, the parish community shrank and the school closed in 1988. But in the early 1990s, as
Mexican Americans and Vietnamese refugees settled in the area, the parish came to life again
in a new way. Today, St. Adalbert primarily serves the Vietnamese Catholic community in the
area. Hân hoan chào đón quý vị ghé thăm cộng đoàn St. Adalbert!
