All Saints has served the spiritual needs of people in Lakeville and the surrounding area since 1877. Leading people to Christ through liturgy, learning, sacraments, and service is its mission. The first All Saints church, a wood frame building, was destroyed by a tornado in 1881. Undaunted, the community built a second church, which served the parish until that building was destroyed by fire in 1931. The next year, a brick, 400-seat church was completed in downtown Lakeville. All Saints Catholic School was opened in 1954 and expanded 10 years later. As the area grew, so did the parish. In November 1997, the downtown church was replaced by a new, 1200-seat church and education campus atop the hill just a mile to the north. Since then, the school has more than doubled with the addition of a middle school and a preschool. The extraordinary growth in student enrollment and participation in adult and youth faith formation has led the parish to review how to expand the campus to continue serving the community’s growing needs.
