Ferguson was a member of the St. Columban’s Mission Society of Omaha, Nebraska. While working in the St. Paul and Minneapolis Archdiocese he was assigned as pastor to Guardian Angels Church in Hastings from 1951-1965. He returned to Omaha after leaving the Archdiocese. He died in Ireland in 1973. On 02/02/2022 Ferguson was publicly named by the Missionary Society of St. Columban, U.S. Region as having “credible accusations” made against him for sexual abuse of minors.
