The Office of Archives and Records Management helps Catholic Center employees locate information, as well as find and store records; maintains the Parish and School Records Retention Schedule; and help preserve and provide access to historical documents in the archdiocesan archives. This office also offers expertise to parishes and Catholic schools through consultation and special projects and answers queries on records management and archival topics.

About Archdiocesan Archives

The Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis is not a public institution; therefore, the records of the Archdiocese are not public records. The Archdiocese does, however, encourage as much openness and availability of its collections as possible. While on-site research is not permitted due to staffing limitations, the office will provide descriptions of many collections upon request, and duplicates may be provided for a fee. To discuss your particular project, items of interest in the collection, and the cost of these services, please contact records@archspm.org.
