Minnesota Bishops: Urge Your Legislators to Oppose Assisted Suicide

The Minnesota House of Representatives Public Safety Committee will be hearing and voting on a bill to legalize physician-assisted suicide.

SEND: Make your voice heard! Take a few minutes now to send a message to your legislator asking them to oppose legalizing physician-assisted suicide.

SUBMIT: Submit a written testimonial to the committee by 12 p.m., Wednesday, March 6.

All are encouraged to submit testimony. If you are a 1) medical professional, 2) a person with a disability or a disability rights advocate, 3) a person with a terminal illness or caretaker of one, or 4) a veteran concerned about suicide contagion, your voice is especially needed!

ATTEND: Attend the hearing in person with a diverse coalition of doctors, nurses, advocates for persons with disabilities, medical ethicists, elder-care workers, and faith-based organizations.

Space is very limited! Be sure to arrive at least two hours early to secure a seat in the committee room, and wear red in solidarity.
