The Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women is sponsoring the Golden Rose Award to recognize young women who are currently in high school, regularly attend Sunday Mass, and are active in parish and community activities. Each parish can nominate young women for their outstanding skills in leadership, spirituality, and service. Nominations are open from January 6-31 and will be presented at the 92nd Convention Friday, May 2, St. Michael, St. Michael.
Qualifications are:
- Aged 14 to 21
- An active member of a parish involved in activities who attends Mass regularly
- Active in school activities.
- Spiritual and reflects the Gospel Values in her everyday life.
- Shows leadership qualities in school and parish activities and goes above and beyond in a service project when compared to her peers.
There is a one page essay on how the young woman meets that criteria. A letter of recommendation from a Faith Formation Coordinator and/or Pastor is encouraged. Find the application aquí.
