Our Lady of Peace is a neighborhood parish serving the Lake Nokomis and Diamond Lake communities. Established in 1991, it merged two earlier faith communities: Resurrection and St. Kevin. Our Lady of Peace occupies the previous Resurrection church and school sites. The current church was completed in 1958. Its unique, diamond-shaped design makes it a dramatic and beautiful space for the celebration of the liturgy. The parish and school continue to thrive with a renewed focus on education and evangelization. There are currently over 200 students from preschool-8th grade at the school. Recent evangelization efforts reaching both those who have fallen away and those without a previous faith life brings the church into contact with thousands of people each year, enabling building relationships and beginning conversations about the intersection of faith and life.
