St. Catherine was first established in 1865 by Irish immigrants, who built the first church in 1867. A new, white frame church in the style of Sir Christopher Wren was completed in 1896. Set on a hill overlooking St. Catherine’s Lake, the church is beautifully situated. A small, close-knit community, St. Catherine is still made up primarily of descendants of those first Irish immigrants to the area. St. Catherine is clustered with St. Patrick at Cedar Lake, just six miles away, sharing a pastor.
Reconciliation is also offered by appointment. Please contact the parish.
Under the Strategic Plan, St. Catherine, Jordan (Prior Lake) was designated as oratory of St. Patrick.
