St. Joan of Arc was established on August 27, 1946. The first Mass was celebrated at Hale School on September 22 of that year while the church was under construction. The first Mass offered in the new structure was the Midnight Mass of Christmas in 1947. Masses in the gym began in 1968, led by Fr. Harvey Egan, and continue to this day. The vibrant family Masses began soon after and continued throughout each school year in the church.
