The first church in Rosemount was built in 1868 about three miles from the present church. That building was destroyed by a cyclone in 1881 and rebuilt the following year. The current church is the fourth church and was completed in 2003. A new school building opened for students in 2009. The parish school was established in 1953 and was under the leadership of the Sisters of St. Agnes for many years. Today, the school and parish continue to thrive, serving about 2,000 families.
