Archbishop Bernard A. Hebda
I am pleased to announce that Nicole Bettini has accepted my invitation to serve as the new Delegate for Consecrated Life for the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. Nicole, the Director of Evangelization and Catechesis at Holy Spirit Parish in Saint Paul, was consecrated a virgin living in the world by Archbishop Harry Flynn in 2007. As Delegate, Nicole is replacing Sister Carolyn Puccio, CSJ, who recently stepped down after ten years in that position.
The Delegate for Consecrated Life plays an essential role in facilitating communication and building relationships between consecrated persons, the bishops, the clergy, and the faithful of the Archdiocese. I look forward to collaborating with Nicole in this role, as she takes on the responsibility of acting as my official representative in matters regarding all forms of consecrated life in this archdiocese. I am hoping that she will serve as an effective resource for individuals in consecrate life in areas essential to their growth and development and will act as a support for those discerning vocations to consecrated life.
As I welcome Nicole to the Archdiocesan Catholic Center, please allow me to express my profound gratitude to Sister Carolyn for her many years of tireless and selfless service to our sisters and brothers in consecrated life. Her presence on the Archdiocesan staff will be greatly missed. I look forward to seeing how the Lord and her religious community will use her considerable gifts in the days to come.
Please join me in praying for Nicole and for Sister Carolyn in this time of transition as she and her order discern his next mission in Christ’s vineyard, and for all the consecrated women and men in this Archdiocese.
