Archbishop Bernard Hebda has announced the following appointments in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis:
Effective March 25, 2026
Deacon John Fischer, assigned to exercise the ministry of a permanent deacon at the Church of Saint Thomas More in Saint Paul and the Church of Saint Francis de Sales in Saint Paul. This is a transfer from his previous assignment at the Church of Saint Patrick in Inver Grove Heights.
Effective April 6, 2026
Deacon Michael Nevin, assigned to exercise the ministry of a permanent deacon at the Church of Saint Michael in Saint Michael. This is a transfer from his previous assignment at the Church of Saint John the Baptist in Excelsior.
Deacon John Shearer, assigned to exercise the ministry of a permanent deacon at the Church of Saint Maximilian Kolbe in Delano. This is a transfer from his previous assignment at the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin in Bloomington.
Effective April 12, 2026
Reverend José Cortes, FSCB, assigned as parochial vicar of the Church of Saint Peter in North Saint Paul. Father Cortes was previously assigned as pastor of the same parish.
Reverend Pietro Rossotti, FSCB, assigned as pastor of the Church of Saint Peter in North Saint Paul. Father Rossotti was previously serving as parochial vicar of the same parish.
Effective May 1, 2026
Reverend Andrew Jaspers, assigned as chaplain for Regions Hospital in Saint Paul. This is a transfer from his previous assignment as chaplain for North Memorial Health-Robbinsdale Hospital.
Reverend Brian Lynch, assigned as chaplain for North Memorial Health-Robbinsdale Hospital. This is a transfer from his previous assignment as chaplain for Regions Hospital in Saint Paul. Father Lynch is also the pastor of the Church of Saint Agatha in Coates.
Effective June 1, 2026
Deacon Greg Sroder, granted the status of a retired deacon. Deacon Sroder has served as a deacon in the Archdiocese since his ordination in 2001, most recently at the Church of Saint Joseph in West Saint Paul.
Effective June 9, 2026
Deacon Ray Ortman, granted the status of a retired deacon. Deacon Ortman has served as a deacon in the Archdiocese since his ordination in 2002, most recently at the Church of Saint Victoria in Victoria.
