Archbishop Bernard Hebda has announced the following appointments in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis.

COVID-19 Restrictions to be Lifted April 1

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), tracking COVID pandemic trends, now classify the Twin Cities area with a Community Level Risk of โ€œLow.โ€ It is still important be fully vaccinated, practice good hygiene, keep indoor spaces well ventilated, and (when showing symptoms) isolate and get tested. However, urging all to wear masks, keep social distance, and avoid large gatherings is no longer required. Consequently, as of Friday, April 1, 2022, the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis is rescinding all pandemic restrictions for liturgical celebrations.ย ย

Local Holy Hour and Consecration of Ukraine and Russiaย ย 

Archbishop Bernard Hebda invites the faithful of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, priests, deacons, consecrated women and men and all people of good will to join him and Bishop Joseph Williams at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 25 at the Cathedral of Saint Paul for a special Holy Hour and Consecration.

Archbishop Grants Dispensation Under Certain Conditions for Evening Prior to Solemnity of Saint Joseph

Archbishop Hebda has granted a dispensation from the obligation of abstinence of meat the evening of ย Friday, March 18, for those who begin their celebration of the Solemnity of Saint Joseph, Husband of Mary (March 19) that evening under the following conditions.

Helping Ukraine

Because the situation in Ukraine is so fluid, one of the fastest and best ways to contribute is directly to Catholic Relief Services (CRS), which has teams on the ground. Funds directed to Ukraine will go there.
