November 22, 2013 - As part of the previously stated plan to ensure a comprehensive approach to address the issue of clergy sexual misconduct, the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis today announced that it is prepared to disclose its initial list of clergy who have substantiated claims of abuse of a minor against them.

November 14, 2013 - As part of the plan to ensure a comprehensive approach to address the issue of clergy sexual misconduct, the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis today announced it has retained Kinsale Management Consulting in fulfillment of Archbishop John Nienstedt’s stated intention to hire an outside firm to conduct a third-party review of clergy files.

September 11, 2013 - The Vatican announced today that Pope Francis has appointed the Reverend Andrew Cozzens as auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis.

July 10, 2013 - Today’s civil court filing seeking the release of the names of clergy against whom allegations have been made is not a new request.

December 13, 2012 - Joseph (Joe) F. Kueppers of Mendota Heights has been named Chancellor of Civil Affairs for the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. Kueppers will succeed Andrew (Andy) Eisenzimmer, who is retiring after holding the position since 2005.

November 10, 2012 - Thomas J. (Tom) Mertens of Medina has been named Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. He will succeed the retiring John Bierbaum, who has served as CFO since 2005.

June 24, 2012 - Archbishop John Nienstedt has removed the pastor of Blessed Sacrament parish in St. Paul, Reverend Curtis Wehmeyer, after learning of allegations that the priest had engaged in misconduct involving a minor. Following archdiocesan policy, the Archdiocese immediately reported the allegations to the police, and an investigation into the allegations was begun.
