The Office of Clergy Services promotes both the spiritual and physical well-being for all priests and deacons in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. Examples of our work would include supporting the Comprehensive Assignment Board in its work of recommending names of potential pastors and parochial vicars to the Archbishop for appointment; assisting priests in transition to a new parish, assisting parishes to cover weekend Masses when needed; preparing parish profiles for vacant parishes; responding to requests from international priests seeking work in the Archdiocese, working with the Institute of Continuing Clergy Formation to provide continuing education programs, assisting with sabbaticals for clergy, and working with individual priests who are dealing with issues of health or difficulties in their ministerial assignment.

The office oversees the offices of Clergy Personnel, Diaconate, and Senior Clergy, including the Leo C. Byrne Residence for Retired Priests.
