Christ didn’t come to “fight a culture war” and Paul notes our fight is not with flesh and blood. But Christ didn’t come to change the laundry or mow the lawn and we also still find ourselves in contests with fleshy forces so what are we to do? And what is “culture” to Joe and Susie Parishioner, let alone Joe and Susie Guild Member?
In the second quarterly dinner, in which the St. Joseph Business Guild is reflecting on 1776 American and Catholic roots, take a novel look at culture and the culture war, because today, as it was in 1776 — and in all of history — there’s a war being waged on minds and hearts!
Come out for copious networking, good food, prayer, fraternity, and to support good work in our Archdiocese, all to raise up our parishes, schools, and families. $17.76; free for clergy, students, and the unemployed!
