“My name is Jacob O’Meara and I am a seminarian studying for the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis at the St. Paul Seminary. I am in my fifth year of major seminary, two years away from priestly ordination, God willing.
In my first year of major seminary, I participated in a year-long media and technology fast as a part of my formation which helped me realize just how dependent I had become. This fast largely opened internal space and freedom to hear God’s voice more clearly and begin to recognize more deeply the desires of my own heart.
