More Than Education

A St. Odilia family shares the impact of Catholic education

As preparations begin for a new school year, we reflect on the impact of our archdiocesan schools.

Catholic education is more than academics. It provides children with an education rooted in faith while helping them grow in character, confidence, and a deeper understanding of God and His love for them. Catholic schools create communities where students are known, supported, and encouraged to grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually. Supporting the Catholic Services Appeal (CSA) helps make this experience possible for children and families throughout our archdiocese.

Hear from a parent from St. Odilia in Shoreview:

“Our family has truly been blessed by our experience at St. Odilia. From the moment we joined the school community, we felt welcomed, supported, and cared for. What stands out most to us is the way faith is incorporated into everyday life, teaching not only strong academics, but also kindness, responsibility, and respect for others.

One thing that has meant so much to our family is the care and attention the school gives to our children’s allergies. As parents, it brings an incredible sense of comfort knowing our teachers and staff takes their safety seriously and work hard to create an environment where they can feel included, safe, and supported. That level of care does not go unnoticed, and it has made a huge difference for our family.

We also truly value the safe and nurturing atmosphere St. O’s provides. In today’s world, it means everything to send our children somewhere we genuinely trust each day. We know they are surrounded by teachers and staff who care about them not just academically, but emotionally and spiritually as well.

The sense of community is something very special. We are so grateful for the positive impact St. Odilia has had on our children’s confidence, faith, friendships, and overall growth. Choosing St. O’s has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for our family.”

Thank you for your help to make Catholic education accessible for students and families in our archdiocese!
