A volunteer uses her gifts of sewing to bring dignity, comfort, and care to those served at Catholic Charities.
Meet Karen Martodam, a beloved volunteer at Catholic Charities Twin Cities.
Over the years, Karen has become a familiar and trusted presence for several residents at Higher Ground, Catholic Charities. Whether hemming clothing, repairing well-worn coats or mending torn sheets, she uses her sewing skills to meet practical needs and help people hold on to items that matter to them.
Like Karen, all Christians have unique gifts that can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Sharing time and talent is one way to support the vital ministries serving people throughout this Archdiocese.
CSA ministries with great volunteer opportunities are local pregnancy resource centers and Catholic Charities. Reach out to learn how you can put your gifts into service!
