Statement Regarding Archdiocese’s First Chief Operating Officer

I am pleased to announce that William (Bill) Lentsch, a long-time resident of this Archdiocese, has accepted my invitation to become our first-ever Chief Operating Officer. Bill comes to the Archdiocese after serving in various roles at Delta Air Lines over the past 30 years, most recently as Chief Customer Experience Officer.

United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Vote to Write a Document on the Meaning of the Eucharist in the Life of the Church

Last week, my brother bishops and I voted overwhelmingly to issue a teaching document on the beauty and power of the Eucharist. The doctrine committee of the bishops’ conference will now begin drafting this document and, in the months ahead, the bishops will continue our prayer and discernment through a series of regional meetings and consultations. In November, the bishops will gather to discuss the document draft."

Statement Regarding Full Payment of Bankruptcy Obligation/Victim-Survivor Fund

From Archbishop Bernard A. Hebda: It is with great gratitude that I announce the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis fulfilled its remaining $3 million obligation to the $210 million bankruptcy settlement, agreed to by the Archdiocese and clergy abuse survivors in September 2018.
