Global Solidarity Sunday is celebrated the fourth weekend of Lent, March 13-14, with the theme “For God so loved the world…” (Jn. 3:16). This is an opportunity to reach out in solidarity to those who still hunger and thirst for God’s love, mercy and healing, which is so important this year.

Parishes will take up a combined collection in support of four initiatives selected by the U.S. Catholic Bishops: the Church in Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America, Africa, and the humanitarian activities of Catholic Relief Services.
