This important collection is held annually on Good Friday. This year, due to the COVID -19 situation, Pope Francis has suggested moving the collection for the Holy Land to September 13, 2020, near the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. If you have not already given to this collection, please consider doing so on September 13. Your support is very important as the Holy Land is also struggling with this pandemic.

This collection helps the Franciscan Monastery in the Holy Land, entrusted as guardians of holy places and shrines in the Holy Land 800 years ago, provide charity for the poor, support Catholic schools, and fund pastoral and religious education in 29 Holy Land parishes. Also, in these times of crisis, the Good Friday Collection provides humanitarian aid to refugees.
