About Ryan Hamilton

He’s lived in Minnesota since 2008, but is originally a Southerner–he grew up in South Carolina before going to college at Wake Forest and then Tulane Law School in New Orleans. He’s also a lifelong Catholic, but, after, as he describes it, an “Augustine phase,” had a powerful rediscovery of his faith in 2010 at the age of 30. Professionally, he’s worked in the legislative branch in Washington DC, as a lobbyist here in St. Paul, and currently works for the University of Minnesota. Ryan’s also a husband and father: he and Melissa have been married since 2014, and they have two children, Augustin and Sophia Elyse. The Hamiltons live in North Minneapolis and are parishioners at Our Lady of Lourdes, Minneapolis.
